Frequently Asked Questions

How expensive is Staging my home?

Prices vary depending upon square footage and condition of the home. These are typical costs for the Madison County area.
Cost of written Staging Consultation
is generally $150 to $300
Complete Home Staging fee is
generally $400 - $800.
However, prices will vary with each individual home. Some houses require much more packing up than others. This doesn't include rental fee for furniture & accessories.

How long does it take?

A complete Staging can take from one to four days, depending upon the size of home.
A consultation usually takes up to three hours.

Is it alright to store my packed boxes at the house or should I get a storage unit?

Good for you that you're packing up early! Reducing the amount of clutter is a good thing. It's best if you have extra furniture and boxes to store them in a storage unit. Remember you want potential buyers to see your house, even if it is your garage. Removing the 'clutter' of boxes is still best.
The best staging preparation that I've had is where the homeowners had rented a storage unit and a moving truck for the day that I arrived to stage their home. We were able to move excess furniture and items directly to the truck and get them out of the way immediately. This worked wonderfully!

When is payment due for your staging services?

For a Staging Consultation, payment is due at the time of service.
For a Staging Bid, 50% or all of payment is due upon signing the contract and the remainder of payment is due on the day that staging services are completed.

Do you accept credit card payments?

Not yet, but I hope to offer this service very soon. Please ask me about it if you're interested.

Do you do the work by yourself?

Yes, with consultations. I do know other ladies who are Accredited Staging Professionals (ASP) that help me with larger staging jobs.

Do you provide the boxes for packing?

No, the homeowner provides the packing materials. I simply remove the accessories that are cluttering the house and pack them in a box. I do not guarantee their safety. The homeowner is responsible for the safety in travel of these boxes.
